'Cambiamenti'

Palazzo Ducale, Genoa

Amber Lavinia is very pleased to announce her first exhibition of 2023 will be as part of ‘Cambiamenti’ at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa. Many thanks to Noemi Serra for including three of Amber's ‘Roses’ paintings, Vanesa, Sacha Sunset and Rose at the Beach, as part of the curation.

The Curator's Vision

Art Curator and Director, Loredana Trestin’s describes the following as her idea for the exhibition: ‘In the Bible, in 1 Corinthians 7:31 it is written that the scene of this world changes: evidently the apostle was comparing the world to the stage of a theater on which the actors play the part of good or bad characters until the scene changes. What changes have you seen in your life?  Advances in medical science, technology, education, transportation and more.  Not all changes are positive, there may be contraindications such as crime, decline in values and more.  Today the course of history can change suddenly, we don't know what tomorrow will bring.  This is the theme on which the participating artists will discuss, presenting their vision of change.’

Artist Commentary

'I was very inspired to be part of this discussion and am grateful to present three of my Rose’s paintings at the Palazzo, to continue the discussion from my Rose’s exhibition in Paris of the effect of violence against women on women, and their ability to transform and continue, despite the devastating consequences of violence, that so many women face on a daily basis.'
